“Swim Swift Elite’s second 2 day camp was held at Welbeck Defense College in Leicestershire on the 9th & 10th of April. Lots of one to one attention was given to all swimmers, meaning that everyone came away with individual feedback for improvement.
After ice breakers with pre-pool priming and conditioning, morning one focused on stroke technique for Butterfly in the pool. After lunch, we talked with swimmers about how to motivate themselves for training and racing, and ways to cope with pre-race nerves. We then got everyone back in the gym to work on their core stability, something so important for swimmers, before heading back into the pool to look at our Backstroke technique.
Day two followed the same pattern, but looking at Breaststroke and Freestyle technique in the pool, flexibility & Pilates, with a fitness circuit to finish off in the gym. We examined race tactics and why we supplement swimming with land work in the classroom.
Overall a fantastic camp! Great facilities at Welbeck Defense College, and we really appreciated the brilliant feedback we have had from swimmers and parents since the camp.”
Here’s what people said:
“The first thing Alfie said to me at the end of the day was ‘when is the next one?’. He has done quite a few other camps and never liked them very much but he loves coming to you. After the first camp he did he got his first ever regional time after a year of no PBs at all and then 2 days after the second camp he got his second one. He’s so delighted and completely attributes his success to you – thank you!”

“My daughter went with high expectations and she was not disappointed. She had a thoroughly brilliant experience and has not stopped talking about the improvements she made over the day. She did ache for a couple of days afterwards having exercised muscles she didn’t realise she had. An extremely productive course. Well done all those involved.”
